She died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at her residence. She was born Sept. 20, 1920, in Bootham, Ala., and had been a resident of Lubbock since 1944. She married Sam E. Ogle, June 14, 1941, in Maryville, Tenn. He died Jan. 6, 1973. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery with the three-year-olds for 25 years. She also worked in the school cafeterias for a short time.
She was a homemaker who was devoted to her Lord and family. Survivors include three sons, Sam Jr. and William of Lubbock, and Richard of Rifle, Colo.; two daughters, Ruth Millman of Lubbock and Janie Estes of Denver, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
