Musician. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, he was a singer, songwriter, guitarist and co-founder of the rock group "Big Star". His musical and lyrical contributions to the band's albums included "#1 Record" (1972) and "Radio City" (1974). As a solo artist for the remainder of the 1970s until his death, his recordings included "I Am the Cosmos", "Speed of Sound" and "You and Your Sister". (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
