After graduating from Swayzee High School in 1940, Louise completed business college. She married Maurice in 1942 and worked while he served in the Navy. After the war, they returned to Swayzee, Indiana where they spent their married life until retiring to Florida.
Louise loved being with people. She enjoyed a long and successful real estate career. She was a great cook, always ready to bring a special dish to someone. Louise was a member of the choir at the Swayzee United Methodist Church and played the piano beautifully. She also enjoyed bridge and golf.
Her pets held a special place in her heart and she was happiest when she was taking care of her family. Traveling to see her children and grandchildren was her idea of the perfect vacation.
She is survived by her children, Sue (James) Rozzi, Naples, Fla. and Michael (Tena) Mark, Eagle River, Alaska. Also surviving are her three grandsons, Justin, Tyler and Ryan Mark of Eagle River, Alaska.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Eva Figgins; four sisters; and her husband of 57 years, Maurice.
The family wishes to express our gratitude to the wonderful people at Homewood and at Avow Hospice for the compassionate care and kindness extended to Louise.
