Mary Myrtle Thompson, 75, of Calhoun died Monday, November 12, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The McLean County native was a homemaker and member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her family. Her husband, Joseph Thompson, died in 1985. Survivors include a son, Ron Thompson of Calhoun; a daughter, Saundra Conder of Calhoun; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marvin Dant and Carroll Dant, both of Calhoun, and L.V. Dant of Beech Grove; and a sister, Patricia Peacock of Calhoun. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. today and from 8-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
