CORNELIUS CORSON, born 1834, at Beasleys Point, Cape May County, N.J., was the son of Maurice and Martha (Garritson) Corson. He was a sea captain. Aug. 18, 1857, at Beasleys Point, he married Martha Ann Ingersoll, who was born in 1841. They had six children:

Josephine Y. Corson, Born Aug. 25, 1863; died Mar 30 1931
Walter Thomas Corson, born Feb. 19, 1866;
Laura Gertrude Corson, born Mar. 2, 1871; died Aug. 6 1871
Cora May Corson, born May 29, 1880; died Oct. 8 1959
Herbert Corson, born Mar. 6, 1885; died Aug. 1 1885

Cornelius Corson died Dec. 15, 1914, and his wife, Martha Ann, died in 1915
