Birth: 1952
Death: Feb. 21, 2004
Grosse Pointe Park
Wayne County
Michigan, USA

Noted Radio Sportscaster and Comic. Mark was a key figure on Dick Purtan's "Purtan's People" on WOMC-FM radio in Detroit. He was also the station's sports director, and for more than 20 years was noted for his roles in skits on the program such as "Sterling Heights," "Alan Walnuts," "Mr. Michigan," "Gordon Kincaid" and and assortment of other comedic voices. He was given the nickname "Doc" because of his extensive trivia knowledge of the "Leave it to Beaver" television series. The son of Paul and Shirley, he was born a dwarf, but said that size never bothered him and even believed that it helped him succeed in life. He was active in the Little People of America, and the Dwarf Athletic Association of America. He was married to Amy and the father of Edward and Hollis. Cause of death: Cancer.

God Bless you Doc. Miss seeing you and your family at Little Tony's. You gave us so many hours of laughter. Miss you every morning. Detroit Radio just isn't the same without you.
