Blevins, Rev. Lora Elzick-87, of C.K. Lewallen Dr., in Oneida, passed away in the Scott County Hospital Sunday, August 7, 1983. He was the son of the late Shady Blevins and the late Polly Crabtree Blevins, and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Tealie Slaven Blevins; second wife, Eva Coffey Blevins; two sons; Leonard and Fred Blevins; three daughters: Lola Blevins, Ethel Crabtree and Idra Crabtree; seven brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the West Oneida Baptist Church and a minister for 63 years. He is survived by his wife, Louise Terry Blevins of Oneida; one son, George Blevins of Helenwood; three daughters: Laura Blevins of Oneida, Poppie Lee Dishman of Helenwood, and Janie Ruth Taylor of Winfield; one sister, Margie Burke of Fentress County, Tenn.; 47 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the West Oneida Baptist Church at 12 noon Tuesday, August 9, with the Rev. Robert King, Rev. Charlie Duncan and the Rev. Earl Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Katie Blevins Cemetery. The Charlie Duncan Family sang. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Dennis Blevins, Amos Crabtree, Johnnie Crabtree, Wayne Burke, David Dishman, Tommie Ray Blevins and Zachary Blevins.
