George was the youngest son in the family but there were six other siblings. They were Francis Marion, Mary Ellen (Cory, Herman, Carpenter), Daniel Monroe, Elizabeth Catherine "Katie" (Brown, Phillips), Laura Bell (Watt), and Ida Alice Marker (Pace).
George married Lillie J. Thornburgh on 11 March 1887 in Wells County, Indiana. There were martial problems in their marriage and it is believed that they were divorced.
There were seven children born of their union and they were: Lewis, William Otto, Pearl (Runyon), Laura Bell (Colsten, George Brinton McClelland "Claude," Anna Rose (Langdon) and John Marker.
George Brinton McClelland Marker died in East Haven, Wayne County, Indiana, and he was buried in the Hillside Cemetery by his brother Daniel Monroe Marker. His grave is unmarked, but the funeral home record listed where he was to be buried. It is not know where his wife Lillie was buried, but it is believed that she died prior to 1931.
