Troy F. Brown, 94, a lifelong resident of Texarkana, TX Mr. Brown was born October 23, 1917 in Doddridge, AR.

He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of WWII; retired salesman with Kelsey Clay Sporting Goods Distributors of Dallas, TX; member of WOW Bible Class at First Baptist Church, Moores Lane; a member of Bowie Cass Shrine Club; Hella Temple of Dallas, TX; Texarkana Masonic Lodge; B.P.O. Elks Lodge; and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula and Henry Brown; brother, Gordy Brown; sister, Faye Lynn and a niece, Glenda Anderson.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years Arlene Brown of Texarkana; daughter, Susie Brown of Dallas, TX; cousin, Wanda Smith of Shreveport, LA; and nephew, Doyle Lynn of Vina, CA.

The family is deeply grateful to Pastor Larry Sims, Patti Hall, Ruth and Carl Bassham, Mary and Bill Tidwell, Pam Case, Eddie Paul, Marilyn Reed, and countless friends who are treasured as extended family.

Appreciation is expressed to the dedicated and caring doctors, nurses, and staff at Christus St. Michael Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Pastor Larry Sims officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with burial under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Senior Ministry of First Baptist Church, Moores Lane; 3015 Richmond Road; Texarkana, Texas 75503; or a , would be appreciated.
