Born to Louise and Joseph Neakrase, Bruno was their fourth son. His older brothers were Alexander, Joseph and Walter. His younger brother was Richard. He also had a younger half sibling, a sister, Lillian.
Bruno attended school, completing the eighth grade. In the 1940 Census (last name Neakrsz) he was steadily working as a manager at a retail grocery store. In 1940 he was living in Chicago with his mother and her second husband, Frank, and his siblings Walter, Richard and Lillian, also his maternal uncle Alexander.
Bruno enlisted in the US Navy on February 4, 1943 and was discharged on January 18, 1946. He served on the Macomb DD-458.
Bruno was joined in marriage to Marie Matlak on April 2, 1943 by Harvey T Minas, a Justice of the Peace, in Crown Point, Indiana. Together Bruno and Marie had three children.
Buried on March 10, 1961.
