Whiting returned to the Marine Corps in 1942 as a Major and divorced Bessie - Due to some infraction he was returned back to the Marine Corps Retired Officers List in October 1943 - Around that time he married Myrtle Gibson in NC. e was a WWI veteran retired officer in the Marine Corps. He was wounded in the war in 1919 and sustained injuries to his left knee, right arm and chest. He was married to Bessie Blossinham Whiting. I know that he had one brother and three sisters one of which died during child birth. He resided at Mallory Ave in Hampton Virginia (Elizabeth county) any additional information that could be found on Mr Whiting would be appreciated I would really like to be able to find surviving family members.
