Though divorced and living hundreds of miles apart, James Elmer Pizinger and Helen Krchmar both died within 24 hours of each other. Helen had died in her sleep of an apparent heart attack. Minutes after James had left his house, a neighbor arrived with the news of his ex-wife's death, however he never received the news. He was killed in a car accident on his way to his auto shop.

Kinsley - Elmer J. Pizinger, 71, was killed in a car accident Tuesday at the junction of US 183 and US 50. Born September 8, 1899 in Great Bend, he was a mechanic and had lived here several years.

Survivors include a son Maurice, North Edwards, California; daughter, Mrs. Ires Coffey, Oregon; mother, Mrs. May Pizinger, Hoisington; brother, Lee, Wood River, Illinois; sisters, Mrs. Leonard Ford, Jetmore; Mrs. Herbert ilslieger and Mrs. Ralph Wallace, Hoisington; Mrs. Frank Poore and Mrs. Pearl Crane, Tucson Arizona; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday at them McKillip Memorial Chapel, Kinsley with the Rev. Max DaMetz officiating. Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Saturday at the Hoisington Cemetery.
