Samuel Gaston Andrews, son of Nelson Andrews and Jane Gaston; married Sarah Jane Cunningham; wounded in the Civil War in Perryville, Ky. and died of his wounds back in Salem, Illinois.
Samuel's wife, Sarah, remarried -- to Samuel's brother Pliney Andrews. They eventually ended up in Louisiana.
Samuel's children with Sarah were William Theodore (buried in La.), Alice Harriet (in East Lawn), Lucius (Old Covenanter), Effie Gertrude (in Elmwood) and Addie Janella (in Elmwood).
