Saragene, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, was a graduate of Washington High School and worked in advertising for the Indianapolis Star for 23 years, retiring in 1985. She was an avid quilt and blanket maker, poet, author and artist. Her greatest passion in life was helping others to ease the burden of their lives and make them happy.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Lariann Musgrove and Patricia C. Noblet, 4 grandchildren; Jacob A. Meadows, Corey Mims, Bailey Noblet and Lucas Lowe. Brother Philip M. Stamm and sister Kathy Stamm Davenport.
