David R. Edwards, 63, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He retired from Barber's Milk where he drove a milk delivery truck for 19 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and playing games on his computer. He also enjoyed watching sports on television, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, the L. A. Lakers, and the New York Giants.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Kay Thorn and husband, Mike, of Dennis, MS, and Melissa Dodson and husband, Bruce, of Tupelo, MS; a special friend, Linda Otts of Pontotoc, MS; 2 brothers, Hugh Edwards of Ripley, MS, and Jimmy Edwards of Etta, MS; 5 sisters, Marie Baker of Greenville, MS, Katherine Allison of Ripley, MS, Faye Carnell of New Albany, MS, Mamie Ruth McCallen of Collierville, TN, and Carolyn Davis of Pontotoc, MS; and 6 grandchildren, Avery, Garrett, Reece, and Kaylen Thorn, and Chan and Celia Dodson.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, David Murphy and Jeff Edwards; his parents, Roscoe and Evelyn Renfrow Edwards; a brother, Mike Edwards; and 2 sisters, Mary Lou Hatley and Marilyn Hunter.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Eugene Walden and Avery Thorn. Interment will follow in New Prospect Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Pallbearers include Jason Willard, Chris Carnell, Greg Carnell, Marty Davis, Jody Porter, and Lee Brenot.
