Mrs. Ada May Pierson, 93, of Jamestown, died Sunday afternoon at the resdence of her daughter. Mrs. Mary Morman, 1620 Irvin Rd. She had made her home with her daughter the last 18 months.
She was born near Hillsboro Nov. 7, 1887, the daughter of Allen and Clara Cloud Purdy. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Wilmington and the Jamestown Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred D. Pierson in 1953 and is survived by 10 children, Mrs Henry (Monzelle) Smithson and J. W. (Bill) Pierson, both of Wilmington, Robert, of Cincinnati, Carl, of Tuscon, Ariz., Leroy, of near Cedarville, Mrs Cyril (Mary) Morman, Jamestown, Mrs. Glenn (Clara) Morman of Xenia, Guy E. Pierson of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. June Barlow of Springfield and James R. Pierson of Sabina; two sisters Mrs. Vivian Smithson of Washington D. C. and Mrs. Viola Walker of Lynchburg; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Jamestown Church of Christ with Brother Keith Wise officating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home, Jamestown.
