FLORA, Ind.-Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo., for Lorene Owens Winningham, 82, Flora, formerly of Lamar, Mo., who died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center-Delphi. She had been in failing health since July and a resident there the past month. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Indiana, 13295 Illinois St., Suite 110, Carmel, IN 46032, Parkinson's Society or the American Heart Association.

Survivors include a daughter, Renita and Gary Overholser, Cutler; a son, Howard L. Winningham, Mt. Vernon, Wash.; a brother, Calvin and LaWanda Owens, Springfield, Mo.; her twin sisters, Florence Glines-Scherer, Moline, Ill.; two grandchildren, Eric and Candice Overholser and Julie and Kelvin Ford, and six great-grandchildren, Brogan, Colt and Bailey Overholser and Shon, Quinton and Gabriel Ford.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Wayne; two sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Winningham was born May 26, 1929, in Redding, Kan., to Efton and Gertrude Hagwood Owens. She was a 1947 graduate of Golden City High School and attended college in Springfield. She was a homemaker and also cooked at her local school for five years. While in Indiana she attended the First Assembly of God Church in Delphi and was a member of the Lamar First Assembly of God Church in Missouri. She moved to Indiana in 2006 to be near family.
She married Willie F. Winningham on Dec. 22, 1947, in Bentonville, Ark. He died Oct. 12, 1990.
