Eslie D. Christensen, 81, of Moroni, Utah, passed away at his home Thursday evening, September 20, 2007, due to congestive heart failure. He married Gwen Watson, of Spring City, Utah, on July 27, 1951, in the Manti Utah Temple. Together they raised a family of seven missionaries: James E. (deceased), Brent D. (Norma), of Moroni; Garth W., of Moroni; Janette (James L. Johnson), of South Jordan; Mark Alan (Sharon), of Moroni; Lisa, of Moroni; and Craig W. (Soofie), of Salem, Utah.

He was a supporter of Boy Scouts and Wood Badge. A veteran of the United States Navy, he lived a life of service as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the East Central States Mission. Later, he and Gwen served together in the Washington Spokane Mission. He was bishop of the Moroni West Ward for five years, counselor in the Moroni Utah Stake presidency for 10 years, and a Manti UtahTemple ordinance worker for 15 years, where he loved his association with the other temple workers.
