FUNERAL OF MRS. GEORGE HOYT.

The funeral of Mrs. George Hoyt (nee Margaret Whitney), of district No. 25, was held Sunday afternoon at the Catatonk church, Rev. J. P. Cary, of this place, officiating. Mrs. Hoyt had been a great sufferer for several years past and seriously ill for nearly two months at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Andrews, in Owego, where she passed away.

She is survived by her aged husband, four sons, William Hoyt, of Peekskill, N.Y.; Robert Hoyt, of Binghamton; Thompson and Theodore Hoyt, of district No. 25, and two daughters, Mrs. George Liske and Mrs. Admiral J. Andrews, of Owego, and many grandchildren; one sister, Helen Whitney, and one brother, George Whitney, both of Hubbardtown; many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends, who will mourn the loss of a dear one, as she will be greatly missed by all, especially those of her immediate household. The mourning ones have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends in their sad bereavement. Mrs. Hoyt early in her youth gave her heart to her Savior and was a true, consistent, consecrated Christian the remainder of her life. She had lived in this vicinity nearly all of her long life, as she with her parents were residents of this hill sixty-four years ago, and all who knew her were her friends.

She was tenderly laid at rest in Woodbridge cemetery, above Catatonk, where repose so many of her loved ones.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson Whitney.
