Mildred Lois BURNS, 60, died Saturday afternoon at the home of her son, Robert Richard BURNS, R.R. 2, Macy. She had been in ill health several months. Born April 4, 1902, in Liberty township, she was the daughter of Otto and Lucy CALLOWAY. She was married Dec. 6, 1924, to Robert Emmett BURNS, who survives. Mrs. Burns graduated from Manchester college and taught school in Liberty township. She was a member of the Fulton E.U.B. church, Fulton County DAR and Delta Gamma sorority. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy MILLER, Crown Point; Mrs. Mary Jo BEAN, Peru; Mrs. Carolyn RUNKLE, Akron, Mrs. Doris LUCY Logansport; and Mrs. Shirley NAUGHGLE, Terre Haute; one son, Robert [BURNS], R.R. 2, Macy; twenty grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Winifred SANDERS, Pontiac, Mich. One brother, Wade [CALLOWAY], preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Ditmire-Davidson funeral home in Fulton. Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Revs. Franklin ARTHUR and Paul GARNER officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton cemetery.
