Mom knew all about and used plants for medical purposes. She also loved to sew by hand and made clothes for all the children throughout the years and made many quilts. She did not need a pattern for any sewing she did. Mom was fluent in the Choctaw language, shared a great deal of laughter with friends and family and sang those lovely Choctaw hymns.
Although we were poverty stricken as far as financial standings..we were rich for we had a mother who loved us so.
