Jean R. Boyd

Jean R. Boyd, 85, of Milan, Ind., passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007. Born February 4, 1921, in Bridgeport, Neb., to Charles and Myrtle (Belshe) Rochel, she married Robert J. Boyd on June 23, 1945.

She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Surviving are sons, Robert J. (Becky) Boyd of Evans, Ga. and John C. (Charlotte) Boyd of Manassas, Va.; daughter Barbara (Jeff) Thatcher of Greenfield; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert on December 30, 1993.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, Ind., with Pastor Stormy Scherer-Berry officiating. Burial will be at New Craven Cemetery, Milan. Military services at the gravesite by Milan Legion Post 235. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2007, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Association or Milan Rescue 30.
