Laura is the oldest child of Hugh Henry Dyer and wife Prudy West, born 3 Aug 1861 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, AR. By 1880 her family has moved to Lavaca County, Texas: Hugh H Dyer (44-TN-Ireland-VA), Prudy (36-TN-SC-SC), Laura M W (16-AR-TN-TN), A F (14-KS-TN-TN), E J (12-AR-TN-TN).
She first married William J Bain of NY (1841-1888) on Monday, 8th May 1882 in Kerr Co., TX., they had at least three children:
- Adella Bain EVANS(29 Aug 1884-21 Sep 1930)
- Elmer Lee Bain (22 Feb 1886-8 Jun 1971)
- William E "Willie" Bain (Jun 1888-Ukwn)
When her 1st husband Wm. died in 1888 in Kerr County, Texas. She then married James A Burleson of TX (Feb 1861-Bef 1910) on the Wednesday, 29th Oct 1890 in Kerr Co., TX. They had two sons:
- J Hughey Burleson (Jul 1891-16 Jul 1914) &
- Henry Burleson (Sep 1898-Unk).
Texas Death Certificate states she moved to 328 Crosby Street, San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX. in 1901 and lived their for the rest of her life.
Found in the 1910 census in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas: Laura M Burleson (49-Widow-AR-TN-TN) son William E Bain (21-TX-NY-AR), sons Hughey Burleson (19-TX-TX-AR), Henry Burleson (12-TX-TX-AR)
James died before the 1910 census, she married Cicero Stephens on 20 May 1922 in San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX. She died only two years after they married. I found no records for Cicero Stephens. Wm R Martin

Laura died from lobar pneumonia in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas
