Wayne "Rev. W." Christopher, 64, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Grace Community United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Sparks and Father John Githiga officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Christopher was born in Alhambra, Calif. He graduated from Vallejo Senior High School in 1958 in Vallejo, Calif. He married Judy Sobers in 1958. They divorced in 1962.

He was in the Army from 1958 until 1962 as a chaplain's assistant. He enjoyed cooking and opera. He always worked in many churches taking care of the homeless and needy. He also attended Community Grace and was a member of Saint Cyprian's Episcopal Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Tamara Lamb of Olympia, Wash., and LaVerne Felix of Bremerton, Wash.; two nephews, Troy Kelly of Vallejo and Richard Saal of Napa, Calif; and his good friends, Lola, Terry and many more.
