Josephine Elizabeth (Creasser) Truelove age 101 passed away at her home East of Lowell, Indiana on Sunday, September 14, 2008. She was born November 30, 1906 in Washington, Daviess Co., Indiana to Walter Noah Creasser and Lillie Myrtle (Armstrong) Creasser. She was the oldest of 4 children, including sister Esther (Ralph) Brooks, sister Lucille (Burnett) Powell, and brother Thomas Robert (Louise) Creasser. She grew up in Indianapolis where she attended Centenary Christian Church and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. She married Dr. Kesler Estes Truelove in 1925 and together they moved to Gary, Indiana in 1936 where they raised 3 children. Son Dr. Kesler Estes Truelove Jr. (Sandra Whiteley), daughter Joanna Elizabeth (Frank) Barath, and Daughter Vie Myrta (Ronald) Bowie. Josephine joined Central Christian Church in Gary where she taught Sunday School and entertained many missionaries. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for 9 years, taught cerebral palsy students in Lake Station for 13 years when she attended the John Herron Art Institute. When she was in her 80's she taught English to the migrant Farm Workers around Lowell, Indiana.

Josephine is survived by her sister Lucille, son Kesler Jr., daughter Vie, 10 Grandchildren Laura Truelove, Dr. Kesler Truelove, III, Robert Truelove, Frank Barath Jr., Cari (Barath) Rhodes, Ruth Barath, Joselyn (Barath) Jeminez, James Barath, Rebecca Bowie, and Ronald Bowie., 26 Great Grandchildren and 5 GreatGreat Grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her and all who knew her loved her. She was a very special woman.
