Paul Peter Schudar was born in Cayuga, ND on January 31, 1949 and passed away in Pueblo, CO on January 14, 2012. Paul joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He then decided to make a career out of the military and in 1988 he proudly and honorably retired from the army. Paul served on many overseas tours, and met his wife, Maria, in Erlangen Germany. They were married in 1974, and over the next 38 years, had 5 children and 6 grandchildren. After retiring from the military, he moved the family to Pueblo, CO and eventually started his own business, Schudar Auto Repair. As proud as he was of all his accomplishments, he was most proud of being a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Paul was preceded in death by his father (Paul), mother (Dorothy (Suchla)), brothers (Alex and Ray), and 3 infant sisters. Paul is survived by his wife (Maria), and their 5 children Victor (Tina Hein), Virginia (Jay Souther), Paul Jr (Shayna Sargent), John, and Rebecca. Also by 6 grandchildren (Hailey Hein, Taylor and Brenden Souther, Alexander and Isis Schudar,, Karee Schudar), 7 sisters (Marcella Breden (Olaf), Josie Swenson, Dorothy Mellem (Gerald), Virginia Litchfield (Mitch), Barbara McBrien (Ron), Rosanne Schudar (Michael Rebsom), Marion Schudar), a brother (John Schudar), a sister-in-law (Cindy Schudar (Alex)), and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Harvey Park Christian Church in Denver, CO. Viewing starts @ 11:30am, services @ 12:30pm. Burial service will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery @ 2:15pm. There is a memorial service being planned in Pueblo, CO for all friends and family who wish to attend. More info about the service will be announced when plans are finalized.
