Mr. Samuel A. "Buddy" Hopkins of 21420 Big Woods Road, Dickerson, died Feb. 2.
Born in West Virginia, Mr. Hopkins was a son of Mrs. Macie Kuhn of Ohio and the late Horace Hopkins, and was the husband of Barbara Kay Hopkins.
Surviving Mr. Hopkins, besides his wife and mother, are three, daughters, Clementine T. Hopkins, Macie T. Hopkins, and Molli T. Hopkins of Dickerson; three sons, A. Trent Hopkins and C. Travis Hopkins, Dickerson and Samuel A. Chappell, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Ava S. Stine, Lanham; Mrs. Donna Parrott, Dickerson; and Mrs. Margaret J. Nelson, North Carolina; three brothers, Horace T. Hopkins of Virginia; John D. Hopkins, Florida; and James William Kegley: Maryland.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at the Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 5 from the Poolesville Baptist Church, Poolesville. Interment will be in the Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Barnesville School, Peachtree Road, Barnesville, Md. 20703.
