3. William James b. 5/18/1769 in Preston, Connecticut and was killed in Big Bottom Massacre 1/2/1791 in Morgan County, Ohio.

There is a reference on page 37 in book "Ancestors and descendants of John James and Esther Denison of Preston, Connecticut" by Clara Paine Ohler - Lima, Ohio 1912 - which says they are laid to rest near their home in Wood County, Virginia (now West Virginia). The land he purchased in 1798 is at the junction of Stillwell Creek and the little Kanawha River six miles from Parkersburg.
