William Lee "Bill" Fender, 76, was born January 10, 1935 in Alva, Oklahoma, the son of Roy Samuel and Mary Ellen (Purcival) Fender. He passed away January 3, 2012 in Oklahoma City.

Bill moved to Yukon in 1971 and on July 2, 1982, he married Lynda. They attended Yukon Church. Bill was a Resident Engineer in the El Reno Divison of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation from 1954 until his retirement in 1992. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Bill is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lynda Fender of the home; children, Sam Fender of Yukon, Pam Mach of Yukon, Mary Ward and husband Edwin of Yukon, and Vickie Lawson and husband Rick of Melbourne Beach, FL ; stepchildren, Bryan Nutter and wife Tabitha of Alva, Marc Nutter and wife Sarah of Dalhart, TX, and Sandra Rowe and husband Rodney of Yukon; brother, Bob Fender and wife Pat of Roseburg, OR; sisters, Imogene Peterson of Freedom, OK, Dorothy Puckett of Fredonia, KS, and Judy DeVine of Freedom, OK; 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Charley Mach; grandson, Michael Mach; and great-granddaughter, Nicole Mach.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 at Yukon Church. Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery.
