"Mrs. Effie M. Durham, well known and highly respected Butler county woman, resident of Hanover township, passed away early Wednesday at the Bethesda hospital in Cincinnati, following a short illness.

"She was born in Morgan township on September 24, 1881 and was the daughter of Daniel J. and Anna Roberts. She was united in marriage with Benjamin Durham on June 20, 1907. Her husband passed away just eight weeks ago.

"Mrs. Durham left to mourn her death two children, Marjory, age 10, and John, age 15, the bereaved parents, two brothers, George Roberts, county clerk-elect, of Hamilton, and James D. Roberts of Morgan township, three sisters, Phoebe S. Roberts and Mrs. Grace Bias, of Morgan township, and Mrs. Imogene Connett of Carthage, Ohio.

"Funeral services will take place from the residence Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock (daylight savings time) with interment in the Shandon cemetery. Rev. Work of Oxford will officiate. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening."
