Obituary from the Hunterdon County Democrat online, Jan. 13, 2012:

Flemington resident Barry LaFevre dies at 50, coached his girls and teammates in Softball League

FLEMINGTON — Barry Neal LaFevre passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, after a brave 2-year battle with esophageal cancer. He was 50.

Barry was a devoted family man and loving father. He worked as parts receiver for Ditschman/Flemington Ford in Flemington for the past several years. Barry was an avid hunter and loved fishing.

He enjoyed reading about World War II and built model tanks for a hobby. He especially loved playing softball with his daughters on recreation teams of the Flemington-Raritan Girls Softball League, where he coached his girls and their teammates for many years.

He is survived by his fiancée, Christina Edzenga, and their four daughters, Carly Monica Carrie LaFevre, Leah Carrie LaFevre, Emmy Michelle LaFevre and Brooke Noelle LaFevre, of Flemington; his mother, Kathleen N. Sassaman and Sam Ferdetta, of Milford; father, Barry LaFevre and Lanelle of Milford; sisters, Sandy M. LaFevre Haberle of Upper Black Eddy, Pa. and Brenda Lee LaFevre of Milford; nephew, Andrew Michael LaFevre; niece, Lara Lee Haberle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services: Funeral Mass at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, Milford, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 11 a.m. followed by burial at the Milford Union Cemetery and a reception. Visitation period from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Donations can be sent to Candece Duclos, in trust of the children of Barry Neal LaFevre, at Candece Duclos, 810 Sergeantsville Road, Stockton 08559.
