GARVIS REX BALLARD, 81, Tuscaloosa, died on Saturday, August 9, 1997, in Tuscaloosa. He was born in Marion County, the son of Lawrence Lee and Ethel Holland Ballard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Loder and Rudolph.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 12, 1997, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Ray Edgar was the officiating minister.
Survivors include one brother - Fred Ballard, Hamilton; one sister - Ora Lee McCarley, Fulton, Miss.; three sisters-in-law - Ruby Ballard, Prebble Ballard, and Jewel Ballard; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
