Consider Cole served in the Revolutionary War. He enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant in Captain Hatch's company of Minute-men, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, from Pembroke (West Parish)to Scituate and Marshfield ; discharged 29 April 1775 ; service, 11 days. Source - (Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in the Revolutionary War, Vol. 3, pg. 756).
