Lovina was born in Orion, a hamlet in Gove County, Kansas. She first married Charles Birton Dewey (1880-1924)on May 1, 1907, Russell Springs, Kansas.

Obituary for Lovina E. Shipley Dewey Naylor,
4 October, 1891 – 9 November, 1986

Graveside services for Lovina E. Naylor, 95, of Caldwell, who died Sunday, Nov. 9 at a Caldwell nursing home of natural causes, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.
The Rev. Allen Nelson of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church will officiate under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Naylor was born Oct. 4, 1891 at Gove County, Kan. to Warren L. and Deffey Minerva Dawson Shipley. She was raised in Kansas and Oregon.
She married Charles B. Dewey, May 1, 1907 at Russell Springs, Kan. He died in March of 1924.
She married Ed Naylor on Nov. 18, 1933, at Gove County. They moved to Idaho in 1935 and lived in the Caldwell area. He died in January of 1942. She had lived in the Caldwell area since that time.
She is survived by five daughters, Alma Wagner, Minerva Quigley and Ethel Kidwell, all of Caldwell. Rosamae Mango of Columbus, Ohio, and Phyllis Sellers of Modesto, Calif.; a stepbrother, Harold Naylor of Notus, a stepsister, Nola Johnson of Pilot Rock, Ore., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bill and Charles Dewey, 10 brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch, Box 534, Rupert, Idaho 83350.
