LORETTO - WEST, MARGARET DELORES ABELL, 91, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at her residence. Born November 14, 1920 in Marion County, KY, she was a former employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear and an avid genealogist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Archie West, her parents, Thomas Ernest and Nettie Mae Mattingly Abell, her son, James Thomas "Jimmie" West, her daughters, Theresa Jane Coyle and infant Mary Delores West, three brothers, William, James and Louis Abell, three sisters, Pauline Greenwell, Catherine Cox and Cecilia Wright. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Ann Perkins and Barbara Thomason, both of Louisville and Linda Lee (Donald) of Raywick, KY; one son, Charles West, of Lebanon, KY; one brother, Joe Abell (Coleen), of Lexington, KY; three sisters, Dorothy Mattingly and Janette Bradshaw, both of Louisville and Lois Southall, of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Raywick followed by interment in the church cemetery. Visiting: 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
