COLORADO CITY ~~ Mrs. Linnie Mae Barnett, 79, died in a Big Spring Hospital at noon Monday after a long illness. Born in Robert Lee on October 27, 1882, she has lived in Colorado City for 49 years. Her husband, Frank Barnett died in 1958. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services were set tentatively for 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Kiker and Son Chapel in Colorado City with burial in the Colorado City Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Homer Barnett, Odessa and Berton Barnett, Colorado City; one daughter, Mrs. Herman Vaughn, Midland; three sisters, Mrs. J. L. Harrison, Sr. Colorado City, Mrs. Lola Bizzell, Midland, and Mrs. Larry Bowles, Fort Worth; two brothers, Willie Chaney of Midland and Bennie Chaney of Fort Worth, and thirteen grandchildren.
