Denver E. King was a member of the 17th Ordnance Company during World War II. His unit's job was to service the tanks of the 192nd & 194th Tank Battalions. On April 9, 1942, he became a Prisoner of War when Bataan was surrendered to the Japanese. He was held at POW camps in the Philippine Islands and Japan, until he was liberated in September 1945.
