DENISON - Joyce Watson, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Beacon Hill Nursing Home. Joyce has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Burial will be at Coffman-Layne Cemetery.
Mrs. Watson was born on September 1, 1926 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Hollis Alvin and Esther Coffman Scroggins. She was a 1944 graduate of Denison High School. She married Emmett Watson on June 4, 1960 in Corsicana, Texas and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1982.
Joyce was a lab technician at Kraft Foods, a homemaker and delivered for Judy's Flower Shoppe. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Denison Rod and Gun Club.
She is survived by her son, Mark Watson and Melissa Kirk of Denison; grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Britney Watson and Jayme Watson and two great-grandchildren; niece, Linda Rayder of Denison; great-niece, Suzanne Preston and great-nephew, Jeff Hosford. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Elyne Preston.
