On Jan. 10, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother silently slipped away after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born April 6, 1920, in Portage to William Gill and Clara Mae Sorensen Longstroth. On Feb. 12, 1943, she married Clarke N. Johnsen and their marriage was sealed one year later in the Logan Temple. They made their home and raised their family in Tooele. Elaine always made people feel welcome and cared about and loved family get togethers, especially Christmas. Her greatest joy was serving in the church and a mission with her husband in the California Santa Rosa Mission, and seeing her children and grandchildren serve also. She is survived by her children JoAnn (Paul) Loveless, Mike (Jolynne) Johnsen and Jill (Bill) Hogan, 16 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren, and sister Gloria Koncz. All who loved her will miss her very much. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and three sisters, all who have been awaiting her return. Funeral services are under the direction of Tate Mortuary. Services will be held at Tooele Middle Canyon Ward located at 1100 East Skyline Drive, Tooele, on Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 9 to 10:45 a.m. before. Interment in Tooele City Cemetery.
