Donnetta Hardy died January 13, 2012 after a suffering from Alzheimer's Disease for several years.

Donnetta was born February 16, 1926 in Delta to Jesse Christian and Blanch Lowry Works. She was the youngest of eight children and the last surviving member of her family. She was raised in Delta and loved the people of Millard County. She attended schools in Delta, graduating in 1944.

She married L. Floyd Hardy on May 28, 1944 and they had six children Craig, Beniti, Morris, Bevan, Vivian, and Thayne.

She had several jobs in her lifetime, maid, and front desk at the Killpack motel, the senior citizens program, and she worked for several years at the West Millard Hospital as an aide, where she especially liked taking care of the babies.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. Her husband of nearly fifty years died in February 1994 and she kept busy by volunteering at DI and the LDS Distribution Center, and served for five years at Cove Fort as a missionary.

She was very involved in preserving her heritage and was a member of DUP and DAR and loved being a guide at the Great Basin Museum. She grew a lovely flower garden and shared freely with all.

She loved being around people and belonged to several clubs. Pinochle, Rook, Fine Arts Club, Garden Club, Lions Club, and the Sunday night bunch. She loved to crochet and quilt and many of you have a quilt she has helped quilt on or one of her crocheted hotpads.

She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd, sons Morris and Craig, and granddaughter Kaitlyn. She is survived by Beniti Orton (Fred) of Parowan, Bevan of Delta, Vivian McMullin (Karl) of Santa Clara, and Thayne (Kim) of Sahuarita, Arizona. She had twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren with three more on the way. Her lifelong goal was to make as many friends as possible.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in the Delta First Ward Chapel (222 West 200 North). Friends may call Monday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Delta City Cemetery.
