Mr. Lensing was a native of Scranton, AR. He attended Subiaco Academy in Subiaco, AR. He was a long time resident of Lake Providence where he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. A veteran of WWII, Mr. Lensing served as a Petty Officer aboard the USS YMS 144 in the Pacific Theatre. He was retired from the Lake Providence city Police Department and the East Carroll Parish School Board.
Mr. Lensing passed away in St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe, LA.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patsy Land Lensing; father Casper Lensing; mother Anna Heim Lensing; four brothers George, Michael, Leo and James Lensing and sister Mary Jane Neumier.
He is survived by four sons Martin Lensing and wife Donna of Baton Rouge, LA, Ford Lensing and wife Kaye of Monroe, LA, Bill Lensing and wife Cindy of Monroe, LA and Luke Lensing and wife Allyson of West Monroe, LA; daughter Madeleine Lensing of Houma, LA; brother Thomas Lensing of Little Rock, AR; two sisters Helen Buss of Ft. Smith, AR and Dorothy Murphy of Denver, CO; six grandsons Neal Blades and wife Michelle of Houma, LA, Paul Lensing of Monroe, LA, Will Lensing of Monroe, LA, John Martin Lensing of Baton Rouge, LA, Jacob Lensing of West Monroe, LA and Bryan Lensing of West Monroe, LA; three granddaughters Tammy Marsh and husband Kevin of Monroe, LA, Anna Lensing of Baton Rouge, LA and Laura Lensing of Monroe, LA and two great grandchildren Emma Marsh of Monroe, LA and Kevin Marsh, Jr. of Monroe, LA.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
