She was born in Pall Mall, Tenn., and had been a Muncie resident since 1950. She retired in 1987 from Guide Lamp (now Fisher Guide Division of General Motors) in Anderson, where she had worked 10 years.
Mrs. Upchurch was a member of Shawnee Heights Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 104.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur; her mother, Genera Hensley, Muncie; two daughters, Cynthia (Mrs. Don) Bertram, and Cathy (Mrs. Dana) Spence, both of Muncie; a brother, Gaston Greer, Muncie; a sister, Ruth Gambrel, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, Rev. Earl Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling hours are 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to the Oncology Department of Ball Memorial Hospital.
