Edith S. Creer (nee Spiess), age 96 late of Mokena, IL passed away peacefully August 5, 2009 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet.
Born March 20, 1913.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; parents, Wilbert and Sarah Spiess; brother, Howard Spiess.
Survived by son, Allan (Diana) Creer; grandsons, Steven (Gail) Creer, Mark (Deanna) Creer; great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Elizabeth.
She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Mokena, a graduate of Joliet Township High School, and worked At Kosnar Drugs in Orland Park for over 30 years. Family request memorials to St. John's United Church of Christ or Joliet Area Community Hospice. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Mokena IL. Visitation Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:30 A.M. at Gerardi Funeral Home, Lincoln Highway at 95th Avenue (one block East of Lagrange Road on Route 30) Frankfort, IL.
