Grace (Stahlman) Stroup

Mrs. Grace Leola Stroup, 75, wife of George O. Stroup, 164 Bedford Street, died Sunday at Western Maryland State Hospital, Hagerstown. Born at Fisher, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Henry E. and Rachel (Grabill sic Graybill) Stahlman. Mrs. Stroup was a member of Centre Street Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Guild of the church.

Also surviving are five sons, Arnold H. and Glen W. Stroup, both of Baltimore; Otis H. Stroup, Severna Park, Md.; Ira D. Stroup, Franconia, N.H.; and Richard F. Stroup, Cumberland; three daughters, Mrs. Urner Carl, LaVale; Mrs. Raymond Easton, Cumberland, and Mrs. William Stewart, Keyser; three brothers, Perl Stahlman, Hyndman; William Stahlman, Fisher, and Clyde Stahlman, Corriganville; a sister, Mrs. George Lybarger, Ellerslie; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Services will be conducted there Thursday at 2 pm by rev. Owen E. Osborne, pastor of Centre Street Methodist Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
