She married Oscar winner Carmine Coppola and became the matriarch of the famous Coppola family, which included her children actress Talia Shire and "Godfather" director Francis Ford Coppola, and Grandmother of actors Gian-Carlo Coppola, Roman Coppola, Sofia Coppola, Marc Coppola, Christopher Coppola, Nicolas Cage, Jason Schwartzman and Robert Schwartzman. She appeared in two of her son's films, "The Godfather Part II" (1982) and "One From the Heart" (1982), and was the author of the cookbook, "Mama Coppola's Pasta Book."
