Singer, aka Sandra Tilley-Miese. In the mid-1960s she was in Motown group the Velvelettes, who also included Carolyn "Cal" Gill Street, Mildred Gill Arbor, Norma Barbee Fairhurst and Bertha Barbee McNeal. In the late 1960s, Sandy replaced Rosalind Ashford in Motown trio Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, the third woman being Martha's sister Lois. During a Vegas vacation, Sandy died in her 30s of a brain aneurysm. In 1995 Martha Reeves and the Vandellas (including Sandy posthumously) were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
