S.R. Smith Mortuary records of Lead state that Lily Jennie, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Veborg, died in Lead from pneumonia on March 13, 1892; buried at 2 p.m. on March 13, 1892 in the South Lead Protestant Cemetery.


Black Hills Daily Times newspaper, March 13, 1892 -

Lillie, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Veberg (sic), aged 19 days, died at 3 a.m. yesterday. Funeral from residence of parents at 2 o'clock today, Rev. George Scott officiating.


Deadwood Daily Pioneer-Times newspaper, Tuesday, March 15, 1892, page 3:

The funeral of Lily J., infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter VeBerg (sic), took place from the parents' residence in Washington, at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, Rev. George Scott, of the Lead Congregational church, officiating. The interment was made in the South Lead cemetery.
