Obit: Dallis D. Carsner Sr., 88, Pottersville, Missouri formerly of Marion, died Wednesday, September 14, 1994, in his home after a short illness. Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, by the Revs. Harlan Gillespie and Thomas Carsner. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel. Survivors include a son, George, and wife Virginia of Iowa City; two daughters-in-law, Marie and Betty Carsner, both of Marion; six grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Dallis Jr. Dallis was born May 7, 1906, in St. Paul, Nebraska, the son of Clyde and Margaret Hanson. He married Elizabeth B. Kray on June 23, 1925, in Marshalltown. She died in 1982. Dallis owned and operated Danish Maid Bakery in Marion from 1946 to 1970. He was one of Jehovah's Witnessess and a member of American Legion Post 298 in Marion. He served in the Navy during World War II. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 298.
