Auburn V. Carmack, 78, of Colorado City died suddenly Monday at his home at 831 West 4th. St.

Funeral services were 4 p.m. Wednesday in KikerSeale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Born Jan. 16, 1900 in Collin County, he moved to Colorado City from Hermleigh in 1948. He married Bertha King on June 10, 1953 in Snyder. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Hart and Mrs. Audrey Worley both of
Amarillo and Mrs. Jim Mash of Sweetwater; three step-sons, Marvin King of Colorado City, Jimmy King of Rockford, Mississippi, and Roy King of East Texas; one sister, Mrs. Mable Culp of Colorado City; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
