Archie Metcalf of Imlay Dies
Served 34 Years As Deputy Sheriff
Imlay City -- Archie G. Metcalf, 74, a resident for 55 years, and a Lapeer County deputy sheriff for 34 before his retirement, died Friday at Bon Secour Hospital, Grosse Point.
Services will be a 2 p.m. Sunday in the David E. Wolfe Funeral Home with burial in Imlay Township Cemetery.
Mr. Metcalf leaves a son, Douglas, Imlay City; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Taylor, Detroit; a brother, Irving Metcalf, Columbiaville; a sister Mrs. Ada Congdon, Otter Lake; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
